Power restored in south Monterey County

UPDATE: 8:45 p.m.: PG&E is not reporting any outages in the previously affected areas of the south Monterey County.

UPDATE 5:10 p.m.: PG&E said 2,180 people are without power in Gonzales right now.

Representatives said they’re hoping to have power restored by 5:30 p.m.

UPDATE 3:52 p.m.: PG&E reports eight outages in south Monterey County affecting about 12,300 people.

Crews said they don’t know when power will be restored and they’re still investigating the cause.

PREVIOUS STORY: Pacific Gas and Electric reports several power outages in south Monterey County Thursday afternoon.

More than 1,000 homes may be affected between Gonzales, Soledad and King City.
