Big rig crash backs up traffic on Highway 156 and San Juan Road

UPDATE 9:28 a.m.: CHP said a truck hauling two trailers full of sand slammed on the breaks to avoid hitting a car in front of it at Highway 156 and San Juan Road Wednesday morning. That’s when a trailer snapped off and a tanker slammed into the trailer.

Officers said no injuries have been reported and drugs or alcohol don’t appear to be a factor.

The crash is still under investigation.

PREVIOUS STORY: California Highway Patrol said there’s traffic control at Highway 156 and San Juan Road because of a big rig crash Wednesday morning.
