Gilroy Police: One woman arrested in homicide, still searching for more

One person has been arrested and Gilroy Police are searching for more suspects in the homicide of 56-year-old Robert Heiser last week, officers told NewsChannel 5 on Monday.

Police said they arrested 19-year-old Gabriela Bernice Ortiz of San Jose over the weekend. They said they know that other people were involved.

Police released surveillance video last week of two women who they called persons of interest in the case. Police said the women, were using Heiser’s credit card at an east San Jose convenience store after he died.

Several tips came in from people who recognized Ortiz.
