One person suffers gunshot wound in Greenfield Friday night

One person was shot Friday night in Greenfield while replacing a flat tire, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 8 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a victim of a gunshot wound on the 44000 block of Teague Avenue in Greenfield.

Upon further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said a victim appeared to be replacing a flat tire to his vehicle when a suspect approached him by foot and shot five rounds at him.

The Sheriff’s Office said the suspect suffered a non-life-threatening wound and was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury.
