Morgan Hill school lockdown lifted after police investigate suspicious item

Morgan Hill police report the area near John Wilson Way and Monterey Road is now safe after a possibly suspicious item was found.

Investigators said the item was tested and deemed non-threatening.

Oakwood School was placed on lockdown as a precaution and surrounding businesses and homes were evacuated.

Police report those precautions have been lifted and the area is now safe.
