Police: Attempted homicide on Walker Street

One man is in critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times early Saturday morning according to Watsonville police.

It happened about 3:15 a.m., when police officers responded to a stabbing on the 700 block of Walker Street in Watsonville.

Officers say they found 20-year-old Geoffrey Isaac Negron with multiple stab wounds to his upper torso. He was flown to a Bay Area Trauma Center with life threatening injuries.

Police say Negron was walking home from work when he was confronted by three to four suspects. They say the suspects got out of a car, stabbed Negron and fled the area.

It is unknown if this was gang related. The case is under investigation.
