Two shootings in Salinas Tuesday evening

UPDATE 11/18/2014 11:47 p.m.- Salinas police say a 27-year-old man was shot multiple times at around 6:11 p.m. on the 700 block of Kilbreth Avenue.

His wounds are not life threatening.

Police say two male suspects between the ages of 18 through 20, approached the victim and shot multiple rounds at him as he chased him southbound on Kilbreth Avenue. Four vehicles were struck by gunfire.

Officers believe there may be a second victim but were unable to locate that person.

11/18/2014 6:17 p.m.- Emergency crews are responding to two shooting in Salinas Tuesday night.

First, police say one person was shot in the hand, and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It happened near North Sanborn Road and Del Monte Avenue.

Then a second shooting was reported on Hebbron Avenue. One man was taken to Natividad Medical Center in critical condition.

No word on if these shootings are connected.
