Bank robbery in Castroville

Monterey County Sheriffs were called to area of Merritt Street at 10:44 a.m in Castrovile on reports of a bank robbery.

Authorities say it happened at Rabobank. They believe two suspects may have been involved, one who entered the bank and one who was driving the getaway car. There is no word on their identity.

The car was seen heading northbound towards Watsonville. It’s described as light grey four-door with license plate number 4GLT369.

Sheriffs officials say they have good leads that may lead them to the suspects.
