Monterey Police arrest child predator
Monterey Police detectives arrested 22-year-old Williams Reynolds Monday morning after a month long investigation.
It started on October 1st when a 17-year-old girl reported being harassed by a man as she walked near the Monterey High School campus at Pacific and Logan Lane. The suspect was driving slowly next to the girl and repeatedly offered her
marijuana and offered to expose himself to her.
On November 5th the same girl was walking in Seaside and reported Reynolds drove by and harassed her again. The victim wrote down the license plate of the car he was driving and reported the incident to police.
Reynolds, who was found to be the son of the registered owner of the vehicle, was identified by a photo line up as the same man in both incidents.
Reynolds was arrested without incident at a convenience store at Munras Avenue and Soledad Drive on Monday.
He was booked in the Monterey City Jail on charges of stalking, child endangerment, annoying or molesting a child, contacting a minor with intent
to commit a sex act and a probation violation. Reynolds is on probation for committing lewd acts in public near Via Paraiso Park in Monterey in 2013.
Reynolds is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
The truck he drives is a gray, 2005, Ford, Ranger Pickup truck with a gray camper shell.
Anyone who believes they have information concerning Reynolds, or who may have been a victim, is urged to call the Monterey Police Department at 831-646-3830.
