Santa Cruz Police: Fox News hater attacks costumed reveler

Santa Cruz police said a 29-year-old man attacked a person dressed as a Fox News reporter Friday night and told the victim he “hates Fox News.”

Sean Kory was arrested downtown on suspicion of assault and resisting arrest.

Police say he first grabbed the victim’s prop microphone and performed a lewd gesture with it. Kory then threw a tennis racket at the “reporter,” police said.

Police did not elaborate on the details of the costume.

The victim wasn’t injured but reported the incident to police. Kory fled as officers arrived, but eventually was apprehended.
