San Juan Road interchange will open partially to traffic Friday

Caltrans and Granite Construction Company will partially open the new San Juan Road Interchange to traffic on Friday morning. The opening will permanently remove left turns across Highway 101 at San Juan Road and Cole Road.

By 6 a.m.. crews will open the southbound Highway 101 exit and northbound Highway 101 on-ramp to traffic. The opening will allow drivers to use the new interchange to access:

San Juan Road
Cole Road
Ballantree Lane
The Red Barn
Northbound Highway 101

Access to southbound Highway 101 will remain via the existing Dunbarton Road detour. Directional signs and changeable message boards will be in place to help direct drivers.

The full opening of the San Juan Road Interchange is currently scheduled for spring of 2015.
