The money will help teachers transform their classrooms, schools and communities.

Teachers across the country went through a rigorous proposal submission and review process, and Jones was selected to move on to the next round.

Jones’s proposal seeks to develop an after-school digital art enrichment program. The program will provide 13 weeks of digital art instruction at three different elementary school sites. Teachers will use the materials to provide richer technology integration with the lessons they are teaching during the school day. The program is designed to continue in subsequent years.

Voting opened on Oct. 1 and continues through Nov. 30.
