Part of South Salinas without power

PG&E is investigating a power outage in part of South Salinas, including KION and the Salinas Municipal Airport.

Other affected streets include Moffett St., La Guardia St., Airport Blvd., De La Tore St., and Vandenburg St.

According to PG&E, 169 customers were affected. Just before 9 p.m., power was restored to four customers, bringing the number down to 165. Officials expect those customers to be without power until midnight.

Officials also said a transformer is being replaced, but wouldn’t say why.
