Santa Cruz pizza place robbed at gunpoint Sunday

A pizza place on Mission Street was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night, Santa Cruz police said.

Police were called to the Dominoes on the westside around 10:30 p.m.

Employees told them that two males entered the store armed with handguns, confronted the employees and demanded cash. Cash was turned over to the suspects, who then fled the store out the back of the business complex to McPherson Street and ran towards Swift Street. No one was injured.

Both males are described as being approximately 5’10” with average builds. They each were wearing black-hooded sweatshirts and had a bandana pulled over their face.

Video cameras in the store recorded the robbery.

Detectives are canvassing the businesses in the area for any other video of the suspects as they approached or fled the scene.
