Advisory posted at Monterey Municipal Beach

Residents should avoid swimming at Monterey Municipal Beach until further notice due to high bacteria levels.

Monterey County health officials posted the beach with an advisory after high indicator bacteria was found in samples taken Monday. The beach will remain posted until samples indicate that indicator bacteria are at a safe level.
