Update: Woman who drowned at Palm Beach State Park identified

The Santa Cruz County coroner’s officer on Tuesday identified the woman who drowned at Palm Beach State Park on Labor Day as Sabrina Garcia.

Garcia, 35, lived in Santa Cruz County.

Further details weren’t immediately available and the coroner’s office has not yet determined a cause of death.

Aptos fire crews said a woman in her thirties drowned at Palm Beach State Park in Watsonville on Monday morning.

The woman’s body was pulled out of the water around, but she could not be revived.

Fire crews said she died at a local hospital.
