Entrance pass fees at Pinnacles National Park to increase on Aug. 1

Entry fees are going up at Pinnacles National Park for the first time since the 1990s.

The seven day entrance pass for passenger vehicles and motorists will increase to $10 as of Aug. 1. The bicycle and pedestrian entry will fee will increase to $5, and the annual pass will increase to $20.

Park managers plan to use the revenue generated by the fee hike to help increase shuttle bus service within the park during busy weekends and improved trip planning information.

Purchase prices for Golden Age and America the Beautiful passes will remain the same, and the free Golden Access and America the Beautiful Annual Pass for active duty military personnel will continue to be offered.
