King City shooting victim in stable condition

King City police said a man shot Saturday is in stable condition at a hospital.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Ellis and North Russ Avenue for reports of shots heard just after 12:30 p.m.. As they canvassed the area, several witnesses came forward and said they’d heard four or five shots and saw two males running from the scene.

Shortly afterward, officers were flagged down on the 400 block of Ellis Street and informed there was a male subject inside a residence who appeared to have been shot. Officers entered and found the victim, who was unable to provide information about the incident.

No arrests have been made.

The man was air-lifted to a Bay Area hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition.
