Arrest Made in Gilroy Double Shooting

An arrest has been made in a double shooting in Gilroy Tuesday evening.

Investigators say they are still showing lineups to witnesses, so they aren’t releasing the suspect’s name or photo yet.

The shooting happened outside Las Animas Park, along Mantelli Drive. One victim, identified as 68-year-old Martin Gonzales, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other victim, a 34-year-old man, is recovering in the hospital and is expected to be OK.
