$6.5 Million Dollar Lottery Scratcher Sold in Santa Cruz

There is a new multi-millionaire in Santa Cruz! The California Lottery announced Tuesday afternoon that Jacob Lackey just won $6.5 million, becoming the latest winner of the California Lottery’s Lucky for Life $10 Scratchers® ticket game.

Lackey told Lottery Officials he plans to make some repairs to his house and pay some bills.

Lackey will have the option of selecting a lump sum payment of $3 million or weekly payments of $5,000 a week for 25 years.

Lackey purchased his winning ticket at Steve’s Union Service, located on Soquel Drive in Santa Cruz.

The lucky retailer will receive a bonus of $32,500 just for selling the winning ticket.
