NPG of Monterey-Salinas LLC (KION, KMUV) in Salinas, California needs a Digital Content Director, prior web producing or newscast producing at a commercial television station required.
Qualified candidates must have four-year degree in broadcasting, journalism or related field. The position requires working knowledge of website design and development as well as the ability to edit video and work closely with our News, Sports and Promotions department.
The candidate will be responsible for keeping our websites up-to-date with the latest news, weather and sports. It’s essential to understand all aspects of social media to help position us for the mobile future.
This position must also be able to multi-task by working directly with news staff including reporters who post news stories to the web and the assignment desk and producers with news content. You must be willing to fill-in for the assignment manager as needed.
Qualified candidates should also possess basic HTML skills. A mastery of Adobe Photoshop and basic abilities with all Microsoft Office products is also needed.
Qualified candidates should also be organized, a self –starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to train others. It is also a plus if you have experience or are comfortable on air.
