Monterey County Bomb Squad Detonates Ordnance at Residence

The Monterey County Bomb Squad detonated a unexploded military ordnance at a residence in South Salinas Saturday afternoon.

Police say the bomb squad didn’t know if the ordnance was active, so they had to detonate it.

Police wanted people to be aware of what was going on in case a loud bang was heard in the surrounding areas.
