Capitola Missing Man Found Dead Tuesday Night

Police told Central Coast News Wednesday that the missing Capitola man was found dead in his car off Highway 17, Tuesday evening.

24-year-old Kevin Rocha had been missing since Sunday night after he left his family’s place in San Francisco. He had been driving a white Yukon Denali.

Rocha’s SUV was found about 100 feet off the highway near Alma College Road, just west of Los Gatos.

The Santa Clara Sheriff’s Department called the Capitola Police Department to inform officers of the death.

A family friend told Central Coast News that Rocha lived with a seizure disorder. He was born and raised in Lodi and was a Graduate of Lodi High School.

His cell phone reportedly pinged in the vicinity of the Old Santa Cruz Highway and Rundell Way, in Los Gatos. According to the family friend, Rocha didn’t show up for work on Monday at his Bay Alarm Field Tech job and it had not been reported.

Police say they do not suspect any foul play.
