Salinas Police Respond to More Armed Robberies Wednesday Night

Authorities initially responded to an attempted armed robbery at the Subway restaurant on Natividad Road and East Alvin Drive.

Deputies told Central Coast News a man wearing a mask with a gun almost walked into the business only to find that a Monterey County sheriff’s deputy was inside of the business, then took off.

Later, Salinas police responded to two other robberies. One happened at a Little Caesars on Laurel Avenue and the other at a Corner Market on East Alisal Street.

In every instance, the suspect got away.

Police are investigating if these robberies are connected to the four others that happened Tuesday night.
