Waste Management Fire in Salinas

Fire crews in Salinas battled a trash fire at a waste management facility on Madison Lane Monday afternoon. Salinas fire crews say a pile of garbage caught on fire and it took them several hours to put it out, but it didn’t damage the building.

California Highway Patrol was providing traffic control as fire crews tried to put out the fire at the garbage plant.
