Town hall for Monterey’s updates on Residential Parking Program announced

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The City of Monterey will share its ideas for an updated Residential Parking Program at an upcoming town hall on March 27.

The new improvements to the program would involve applying for permits online, uploading documents, and managing vehicles. Before this, the permit program involved entering the office in person to use and submit the proper paperwork.

"We look forward to introducing a modernized residential parking permit program, designed to provide our residents with more convenience and flexibility," Monterey Parking Superintendent Cristie Steffy said in a release.

The town hall will allow the community to speak on what they want to see within the program. Community members will also see how the new online system functions.

For those wishing to participate outside the town hall, a survey is available online for feedback.
