Dense Fog, Showers and Thunderstorm Chances

Air Quality: Good

This Morning: Early morning fog near the bay. We have a dense fog advisory until 10 am along the Pacific Coast and Monterey waters.

This Afternoon: 70's and 80's coast and 90's to 100 inland. Today is the last day of that moderate heat risk we are in for parts of the Central Coast.

Wednesday night through Friday morning: Remnants of tropical storm Mario will approach the Central Coast. This means we will have the chance of showers and thunderstorms starting late Wednesday night and continuing through Friday morning. Details are still fuzzy due to a very complicated atmospheric setup. It boils down to this. I do expect scattered showers and the slight chance of thunderstorms.  There is still a chance that most if not all of this moisture misses us. The threat of lightning coming after 3 hot and dry days is concerning. This forecast bears close watching. Stay tuned!
