Chilly Conditions & Gusty Winds

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – Weak low pressure aloft will stick around for the next few days. The marine layer will remain in place on the coast, but clouds may occasionally clear as the air around the low mixes through the layers.

Air Quality: Good

This Morning:  The Central Coast will see continued cool and cloudy conditions with a compressed but still deep marine layer supporting widespread drizzle. Expect overcast skies in the overnight hours. Expect more opportunities for sunshine and on-shore winds in the afternoon hours.

This Evening: For the evening, expect continued cloudy and cool conditions, especially near the coast and in higher terrain. The marine layer will deepen slightly, pushing low clouds back inland after brief afternoon clearing.

Extended: Expect gusty winds Sunday going into Monday, especially on the coast. For the next few days we will have cooler conditions with morning drizzle and low clouds. Clouds will be very prominent over on the coast due to that thick marine layer. A warming trend will begin mid-next week. My prediction in Tuesday or Wednesday-- expect slightly warmer conditions.
