Battle scores 18 as Temple defeats East Carolina 59-57

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Khalif Battle scored 18 points off of the bench to lead the Temple Owls past the East Carolina Pirates 59-57 on Wednesday night. The Owls improved to 7-7 with the victory and the Pirates fell to 9-5 after the American Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
