Fire crews respond to Walnut Creek house fire

Fire crews responded to a house fire in Walnut Creek Tuesday, the Contra Costa Fire Protection District said.

Around 3:40 p.m., firefighters were sent to a home on Woodwind Place for a second-alarm fire. There was heavy smoke coming from the home, officials said.

One person was being evaluated for possible smoke inhalation injuries.
