Seaside hears feedback from neighbors on Car Week events to prep for 2026

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV) - Seaside City Council heard feedback from the community Thursday night on the events of Car Week this year for future potential.

One of the main focuses was on how the events have given Seaside a stronger tourism.

Some residents are concerned about one event, Exotics on Broadway, becoming bigger than Seaside can handle.

"It's overwhelming. It's not bad to be excited about cars. It's great to have events, but I think it's outgrown the area that it's in," one resident said during public comment.

Another resident spoke on what this means for the city's growth.

"Let me remind you, ten years ago, nothing like this would have been looked at this city and come to this city, you know, because Seaside is on the move. People are paying attention," another resident said.

All feedback will be further discussed alongside a larger presentation for preparations for next year's events on Oct. 16.
