MORGAN HILL, Calif. (KION-TV) - Morgan Hill Police have announced the arrest of a hit-and-run suspect after they hit an elderly woman back on Sept. 3.

Police say the victim was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light as she was crossing Burnett Avenue in a crosswalk, sustaining serious injuries as the driver left the scene.

The victim is recovering tonight, while the driver was found to already be in custody for another incident, allowing police to interview and arrest them for the hit and run as well.
