CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. (KION-TV) - The Monterey County District Attorney announced the settlement of a case against the owner of Augustina's Designer Boutique and Leathers for selling new fur products.

A ban on the sale of new fur products in California took effect in 2023.

The county district attorney's office says the owner of the Carmel boutique, Tracy Odle, was aware of the ban while advertising and profiting from the sale of new products made from fox, mink, sable, and beaver fur.

As part of the settlement, Odle will pay $150,000 in civil penalties.
