Two suspects arrested in connection with Capitola robbery

CAPITOLA, Calif. (KION-TV) - Capitola Police arrested two suspects early this morning in connection with the strong-arm robbery of a 92-year-old woman.

Police say the robbery happened at 3:55 p.m. on Tuesday in a parking lot on Clares Street. The elderly woman suffered moderate injuries after her property was taken from her by force.

Witnesses say the suspects escaped in a late 1990s or early 2000s Honda model, which was later located in Oakland by city police officers.

The Oakland Police detained the suspects until Capitola Police arrived to book them into Santa Cruz County Jail.
