King Fire forcing partial closures along Interstate 5 in the Gorman area

GORMAN, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Multiple agencies are responding to the King Fire burning in the Gorman area in Southern California.

The fire sparked east of Interstate 5 near Smokey Bear Road around 1 a.m. on Thursday.

More than 400 acres have burned as crews have the fire 5% contained.

Northbound Interstate 5 is seeing closures along the right two lanes from Vista Del Lago to Smokey Bear Road.

Angeles National Forest crews activated a Shelter in Place for the Pyramid Lake RV Park area and an evacuation warning for Paradise RV Park.
