The Little Car Show revs up in Pacific Grove

PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (KION-TV) - Unique and rare cars lined the sidewalks of Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove on Wednesday, for The Little Car Show.

The Little Car Show is a well-known event within Car Week and allows people to get an up-close look at these makes and models, their interiors, and their history.

"You're going to see the things that you just won't see anywhere else," Bob Quillin, a spectator from Nevada, said.

Daniel Bursch, one of the car owners, said that seeing the reactions of everyone is part of the fun.

"We enjoy driving it," Bursch said. "It's a lot of fun. People look at it and it looks like a little toy car".

Quillin said that over time, it's not just the cars people come to see. A community has been built from all the people who join together each year.

"The same people tend to come back," Quillin said. "And over the years, although they're from different areas of the country and we've kind of become friends with them and we stay in touch with them."

As the show concluded, they passed out a variety of awards to different cars before they cruised around the city’s scenic waterfront and beaches.

"That's the fun of coming to these car shows, just who you meet and who you get to talk to," Jim Callahan, another car owner, said. "And that's what that's more fun than getting trophies or anything like that."
