‘Dip In Days’ welcome Santa Cruzians back to Harvey West Pool

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) - Harvey West Pool is reopening next weekend with free "Dip In Days" every weekend until Sunday, Sept. 28.

The City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department's "Dip In Days" will be open to everyone at no cost on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting on August 16. Mayor Fred Keeley of the City of Santa Cruz will take the first dip at 11:30 a.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony soon after.

"We're proud to reopen this beloved facility and invite residents of all ages to dive in, enjoy the water and celebrate another great Santa Cruz summer," said Mayor Keeley.

The Parks and Recreation Department Director said that this is only the beginning, as they plan to bring swimming lessons, fitness classes, and other workshops in the future.
