State beaches, parks reopen in Santa Cruz County after tsunami advisory lifted

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) - All California State Beaches and Parks in Santa Cruz County have since reopened after the tsunami advisory was lifted at 10:20 a.m.

State beaches, parks closed in Santa Cruz as tsunami advisory is in effect

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) - Beaches and state parks in Santa Cruz County remain closed as a tsunami advisory remains in effect.

The following State Beaches and State Parks are closed:

State Beaches

  • Cowell Beach
  • Main Beach
  • Mitchell's Cove/Beach
  • Natural Bridges State Beach
  • San Lorenzo Park Riverlands
  • Santa Cruz Wharf
  • Seabright State Beach
  • Twin Lakes State Beach
  • Its Beach (Dog Beach)

State Parks

  • Big Basin Redwoods State Park
  • Butano State Park
  • Burleigh Murray State Park
  • Castle Rock State Park
  • Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park
  • Lighthouse Field State Beach - Inland portion of the unit
  • Natural Bridges State Beach
  • New Brighton State Beach - Campground
  • Portola Redwood State Park
  • Sunset State Beach - Campground
  • The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park
