Capitola Beach Festival returns from Sept. 27-28

CAPITOLA, Calif. (KION-TV) - The Capitola Beach Festival is returning from Sept. 27 to 28 to bring fun for the whole family.

This year's theme will be Vacation Snapshots and celebrate the final weekend of September. Scheduled for the Festival are the Little Warf 3 Miler Fun Run, a Sand Sculpture Contest, and a Lighted Nautical Parade.

Here is the schedule of events

Saturday, September 27, 2025

  • Little Wharf 3 MILER Fun Run: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Sand Sculpture Contest: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM; Awards at 2:30 PM
  • Cornhole on the Beach: 11:00 AM – Finish
  • Children’s Art: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
  • Scavenger Hunt: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Music at the Beach: 4:00 – 6:00 PM
  • Lighted Nautical Parade on Soquel Creek: Approximately 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Sunday, September 28, 2025

  • Fishing Derby: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Paddleboard: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM; Pre-Meeting 7:30 AM
  • Ukeleles at the Beach: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
  • Horseshoes on the Sand: 10:00 AM – Finish
  • Chalk Art on the Seawall: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Rowboat Races: 1:00 PM – Finish
