Harbor Water Taxi considers extended schedule during Murray Bridge project

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) - The Santa Cruz district is considering extending their water taxi services during the Murray Bridge construction.

Currently, the Harbor Water Taxi has only been running on weekends, holidays, and on Thursdays for the Crow's Nest barbecue.

According to the Santa Cruz Port District, a test run will start with a few extra days and could begin as early as next week.

The possibility for an extended schedule will be based on the ridership during that time.

The port district is also still looking at what days would be best and staffing should they go forward.

The Murray Bridge project is expected to be completed in 2028.
