Pay increases Approved by Watsonville City Council

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION-TV) - Watsonville City Council members gave themselves a 5% pay increase at Tuesday's meeting.

The ordinance would see their current monthly salaries increase from $1,600 to $1,679.50.

That includes a $10 per month contribution by the city for life insurance benefits.

All increases would take effect on December 20th, according to the ordinance.

This follows a 2024 decision to raise the council members' pay from $670.03 per month to $1,600 per month.
