King City discussing project priorities in their annual budget

KING CITY, Calif. (KION-TV) - King City is one of the many Central Coast cities discussing their upcoming budget priorities for their next fiscal year.

According to a city report, priorities include maintaining existing staff and core priority services.

One of the priorities is completing the roundabout and bike path projects.

Another is exploring a proposed 2026 sales tax measure and outreach efforts.

Over the next two years, King City's spending is expected to outweigh its revenues by more than $1.4 million.

At the end of the first year, staff will present a summary and recommend budget adjustments for the second year.
