One person dead in fatal crash in San Benito County
SAN BENITO COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) - A man is dead after colliding with another vehicle along State Route 25 near Shore Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:35 p.m. when a Subaru was driving northbound.
For reasons still under investigation, the driver crossed onto the southbound lane and crashed into a Ford truck pulling a trailer.
The driver of the Subaru died in the collision, while the driver of the Ford was uninjured.
The Subaru driver was identified as a 33-year-old man from Hollister.
Traffic is being diverted with southbound traffic heading into Bloomfield and northbound traffic heading down Shore Road.
CHP stated that their thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the deceased. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
