California State Parks offers free admission to veterans, active military on Memorial Day

CENTRAL COAST, Calif. (KION) - California State Parks is offering free admission on Memorial Day for veterans, active and reserve military members across the Central Coast.

It's part of a larger statewide free admission for the holiday weekend, with 142 participating in the free admission day.

State Parks on the Central Coast participating in the Memorial Day free admission offer include:

  • Andrew Molera State Park (SP)
  • Fremont Peak State Park
  • Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park
  • Kings Beach State Recreational Area
  • New Brighton State Beach
  • Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park
  • Point Lobos State Natural Reserve
  • Seacliff State Beach
  • The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park
  • Wilder Ranch State Park
