One suspect arrested in Capitola after foot pursuit, another suspect still not found

CAPITOLA, Calif. (KION-TV) - A suspect is in custody after an incident in Capitola this afternoon.

According to Capitola Police on the scene, officers spotted two potential theft suspects in a parking lot on Capitola and Wharf Roads. The two led officers on a foot pursuit, with one of the suspects arrested by the river.

The other suspect is still being looked for, potentially with a weapon. Despite this, there is no ongoing threat to the public.

An alert was sent via text to avoid the area near the Shadowbrook restaurant. That alert has since been lifted.
