Monterey County to honor fallen officers at annual memorial

GREENFIELD, Calif. (KION) - The 27th Annual Police Memorial will honor those who have fallen in the line of duty within law enforcement agencies across Monterey County this Wednesday in Greenfield.

The memorial will welcome those throughout the county to pay their respects to past officers and loved ones following a procession throughout Marina and Salinas at 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., respectively.

Those locations to view the procession will be:

  • 3:30 p.m.
    UC Monterey Education, Science and Technology Center
    3229 Imjin Road
    Marina, CA
  • 4:00 p.m.
    Monterey County Office of Education
    901 Blanco Circle
    Salinas, CA

The procession's final stop will be the Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 27 S. El Camino Real in Greenfield at 5 p.m.

The Monterey County Peace Officers Association and the Greenfield Police Department will host the memorial.
