Marina police car rear-ended during early morning incident

MARINA, Calif. (KION) -- One person has been arrested after rear-ending a Marina police car in the early morning hours of Friday.

According to the Marina Police Department, an officer was helping to set up a flare pattern for the California Highway Patrol's traffic collision investigation on Highway 1 around 3 a.m.

While the officer was out of the car, another driver rear-ended the parked car.

The driver managed to get out of their vehicle and was arrested by the CHP.

No injuries were caused during the crash.
