Soledad Police arrest teens during carnival, identity sought for gun found on ride

SOLEDAD, Calif. (KION) -- Two teens were arrested at a carnival while police seek the identity of a gun found on a carnival ride in Soledad.

According to Soledad Police, during the Soledad Education Foundation Carnival, Soledad Police officers patrolling the ground found a 15-year-old with a knife on him a little after 8:30 p.m.

He was arrested before being released to his family.

One hour later, around 9:30 p.m., a separate report came of a gun found on a ride with officers finding a semiautomatic pistol. An investigation is being done to identify the owner.

As the night rolled on, officers also found a teen on probation who tried to leave the area before being arrested and released to family.
