SkyPark Town Center plans move forward with amended lease

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A supplemental lease is expected to be signed for a new development coming to SkyPark in Scotts Valley.

The new lease will replace a prior lease signed in December 2024 focused on developing vacant land on the SkyPark property.

It will be replaced with a lease-leaseback agreement that will give full control and use of the property for the city's Town Hall Center proposal plan.

In development for nearly 20 years, The Town Center Specific Plan would see much of the vacant land in SkyPark developed into a new Downtown area with housing units, new community spaces, and a remodeled SkyPark.

The next step is requesting proposals from developers for the project. This would include plans for the mixed-use spaces that meet the city's approved "Preferred Vision."
