Two people, dog safe after RV fire in Marina

MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Update March 21, 2025 12:05 p.m. - Two people and their dog are safe after their RV caught on fire in Marina on Wednesday.

According to Marina Fire, firefighters found a 40-foot RV with a Jeep with flames and heavy smoke billowing from the rear section.

The RV also served as a home on wheels, leading crews to make sure all those in the vehicles were evacuated.

Both of the people and their husky were able to evacuate with no injuries.

Fire crews extinguished the fire stopping any further damage to the vehicle.

RV ignites on fire off the Reservation Rd off ramp in Marina

An RV off on Reservation Road in Marina on Wednesday off Reservation Road and Highway 1, causing the closure of the on and off-ramps southbound.

The fire happened a little after 3 p.m. with reports of an RV on fire with heavy black smoke. The RV was also pulling a Jeep alongside it, which also burned.

No cause of the fire or any harm has been reported.
